Instructional facilities
Most of the training for Burdekin campus is delivered at Clare, which has a modern, air-conditioned 130-seat lecture theatre, classrooms, a conference/board room, resource centre with information and communication technology (ICT) and library facilities, multi-faceted engineering workshops and a Qsafe registered slaughterhouse.
Resource centre
The information and communication technology (ICT) and library centre encourages students to utilise the internet and e-based resources for their research, study and communication needs. There is also a comprehensive range of study resources to support training needs.
The library provides access to books, industry journals, newspapers and audio-visual materials and a quiet study area for students. Professional assistance is also available from the centre’s librarian.
Sport and recreation
On-campus sporting and recreational facilities include:
- a swimming pool
- football oval with lights for night use
- cricket ovals and practice nets
- basketball, netball and volleyball courts
- an indoor gymnasium with weights room
- rodeo grounds and equestrian facilities.
Students regularly compete in local and regional sporting events as well as inter-campus competitions. Organised recreation and social activities complement the academic program. Students are able to bring their own horses to the campus and participate in equestrian activities as members of the Student Horse Club and many students are members of camp-draft and rodeo clubs.

The Burdekin campus has a full range of facilities available for hire for conferences or school camps, including:
- a modern 130 seat auditorium
- full catering facilities, air-conditioned private accommodation
- a range of budget accomodation options
- excellent sporting facilities.
