Instructional facilities
Theory-based studies are conducted in air-conditioned classrooms, seminar and demonstration rooms and a large lecture theatre. Practical training is conducted on all campus properties.
Information technology
Two fully-equipped and up-to-date computer and information technology rooms are available for use by students. The rooms are ideally set up for group classes and demonstrations. Each student room also has an individual internet access point.
Library services
A well-equipped library and resource centre is available for student use. Further computers are also available in the library for research and word processing. The library provides on-campus and external students with access to a vast array of industry periodicals, magazines, text books and all major weekly and daily newspapers.
Sports and recreation
Sporting and recreational facilities on campus include:
- volleyball and netball courts
- a soccer oval
- a swimming pool
- a cricket field
- fully flood-lit tennis and basketball courts
- day/night football field.
Students are encouraged to participate in sporting and extra-curricular activities. Campus teams compete in inter-campus events and many students also join local sporting teams and participate in Dalby and Darling Downs competitions.
Popular local sports include rugby union, rugby league, touch football, cricket, cross country running, tennis, volleyball, mixed netball, basketball, tug-of-war, pool and camp drafting.
Facilities for hire
The Dalby campus's facilities for hire include:
- lecture and meeting rooms to meet requirements of groups of all sizes (the largest room has a capacity of 260)
- conference equipment
- catering services
- individual fully furnished bedrooms
- recreational facilities.
Groups may also be able to use the campus's computers, welding equipment and other resources
Special rates apply to large groups or to groups staying in excess of four days. Special rates also are applicable for agricultural industry groups.
